C&O Canal and Marsden Tract Camp Out

Join Troop 255, Crew 255 & Ship 255 for the first camp out of the summer at the Marsden Tract group camp site (we will be in sites 4 & 6).

This is a beautiful,heavily wooded site located adjacent to the Potomac River and C&O Canal Trail that is reached by bike via the Capital Crescent and C&O Canal trails (90 minutes) or car (20 minutes). Enjoy clean & clear outdoor air, comradery, and a raging campfire.

Bikers assemble Chevy Chase Elementary School, 4015 Raymond St. 8 AM. Troop vehicles will transport camping gear. Car campers leave Chevy Chase 10:30 AM. Parking is 1⁄4 miles from camp site.

COVID-19 Adjustments: We will maintain social distance at all times. Bring a mask and hand sanitizer and carry it at all times for when close proximity is involved. Frequent hand washing with soap & water or hand sanitizer will be the order of the day. All non-related participants will be required to use a separate tent.
