Registration for Old Rag is now closed. If you would like to go on this trip and see if space is still available, please email Dave Compton at firstname.lastname@example.org
Troop 255 will be venturing to Old Rag mountain on March 10th and 11th.
We will be hiking on the mountain, including lunch at the summit, and then back-country camping away from the cars.
Going to Old Rag is almost like going back in time. The mountain is made primarily of "Old Rag Granite", which is a billion years old. There's also intrusive basalt, which is a mere half billion years old. Who knows, there may be strange rock formations, ruins from the distant past, plants and animals unknown to modern science, stray dinosaurs. You Just Never Know.
This is always a great trip, don't miss it!
Registration deadline is Thursday morning, March 8th!Trip flyer
PS - When registering you will notice that there is now a choice of "Free" for Scoutmasters, former Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. So if you are a Scoutmaster who is going on the trip and you are also registering your son, you should choose "1 Paying Registrant $15" since there is only a charge for your scout.
