Overview: We'll be biking on the Chesapeake & Ohio Trail, a great bike trail that runs from Washington, DC to Cumberland, MD. We will start in Harpers Ferry, MD and bike back to Chevy Chase – spending the night en route at the Marsden Tract campground along the trail.
We will have chase vehicles meeting up with the cyclists at multiple points along the course. The whole ride is 50+ miles, definitely doable in a day. Anyone wanting a lesser challenge can ride part of the way then join the chase vehicles. Or if you want to ride more than 50 miles, we will try to accommodate that as well.
Bike Loading: Friday night at 7pm at Chevy Chase Elementary, 4015 Rosemary St., Chevy Chase (Note: equipment goes in individual cars)
Cost is $30 per person.
Make sure to register online by Tuesday October 23rd!
(If you are able to be a driver, please indicate in the comments field if you plan to take a bike rack and how many bikes it holds.)
